Personal Helpers and Mentors Program: for people 16 and over who have severe functional limitations as a result of mental illness. CFI recognises that you can live a satisfying life within the limitations caused by your illness. Recovery does not mean a cure.

The Personal Helpers and Mentors program is available for people in the Rockingham, Kwinana and Peel regions through our Mandurah offices, and in the Great Southern –Albany area through our Albany office. - Contact us.
For anyone on a disability support pension, veterans support or who is a member of Home and Community Care (HACC) Community First’s Community Services Centre at Mandurah offers a range of activities which include:Wood Workshop: if you are on a disability support pension, veteran’s support or a HACC member, you can:
- Learn wood work in a fully-equipped wood work shop.
- Learn to use wood working tools.
- Learn workshop procedures.
- Gain self confidence.
- Interact with others in a similar situation in a safe working environment.
Sessions run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am to 1pm or Thursdays from 12.30 to 4pm. You can arrange to be picked up, and there are no time limits on the activities. - Contact us.
Ability Arts: offers you the opportunity to take part in a wide range of individual activities in the arts both in and outside the Centre. You need to be eligible for Home and Community Care funding to take part in this one stop shop which:
- Offers freedom of expression to experiment with many forms of art including painting, music and photography.
- Develops your personal and creative skills.
- Increases your self-esteem.
- Gives you opportunities to develop friendships and wider social interaction.
- Links you with other community services.
- Gives you opportunities to exhibit your art.
Sessions run Monday to Thursday from 9.00 and to 3.00 pm and cost $5 per session.

Domestic assistance: this service helps you remain in the community if you are burdened by everyday tasks and you are an eligible HACC funded client.
You can have services such as:
- Dishwashing.
- House cleaning.
- Laundry.
- Shopping.
- Bill paying.

Home maintenance: If you are an eligible HACC funded client, and you live in your own home, a retirement village, self-care unit or aged care complex, or if you are in temporary accommodation when you are transient or homeless, you can get help to live safely and comfortably.
Services include:
- Handyman work.
- Repairs.
- Minor lawn mowing.
- Rubbish removal.
- Wood chopping.

Toy Boys: If you are retired, then you are eligible to join this great team of volunteers using Community First’s specialised workshops at Mandurah to make toys for underprivileged children.There are ongoing programs, where you can learn all aspects of wood working and contribute to the community. - Contact us.
Project management: our Governance Department can provide financial management of community projects which do not need to be delivered by Community First. As a not-for-profit organisation we have access to government funding for projects, a sophisticated system to manage funds, and a good reputation with funding bodies, which helps your tender process. - Contact us.We can provide:
- Payroll.
- Accounts receivables and payables.
- Financial reports.
- Internal auditing and access to an external auditor.
